


ABOUT
David Serpan is a professional jazz saxophonist in the San Francisco East Bay Area. Currently attending the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, David studies under 2024 NEA Jazz Master Gary Bartz along with having received instruction from Billy Hart, Dan Wall, Gerald Cannon, Justin Robinson, Paul Samuels, Chris Anderson, and Jay Ashby. David has also had the privilege of studying under the expertise of Larry De La Cruz, Art Baden, Spencer Sussman, Joe Simiele, and Guido Fazio. He has performed with GRAMMY award-winning percussionist Javier Cabanillas and Omar Ledezma Jr. of the Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Mary Fettig, and many more.

David actively performs in the area with his band Bluescreen, a small combo-style jazz band presenting the tradition of improvised music to the East Bay.

In addition, David also offers private saxophone lessons for musicians at all ages and levels.
